Советский военный внедорожник УАЗ-469

The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant developed the U-469, with the first units rolling off the assembly line on December 15, 1972. This vehicle featured an open, five-seat cabin that could accommodate five passengers, with two more able to sit in the cargo area on foldable seats. Alternatively, it could carry 600 kg of equipment and cargo, and tow a 850 kg trailer. A canvas tent and removable windshield protected passengers from the elements, reducing the vehicle's height for easier concealment or air transport. Notably, three standard U-469B models climbed Mount Elbrus to an elevation of 4200 meters in just 38 minutes during a test run in August 1974.
