This tool, designed for precision, cuts balsa sheets and various materials up to 1/4" (6mm) thick into strips up to 1/2" (12mm) wide. With a lead screw of 32 threads per inch, each wheel turn moves the blade 1/32 of an inch (0.8 mm). Starting with the blade in its initial position, four turns yield a perfect 1/8" (3mm) strip. The included Type 11 blade, used in modeling knives, is replaceable. To install or replace, loosen retaining screws, slip in a blade, place on a smooth surface, and tighten screws with the blade nearly vertical. The tool can be set up for left or right-handed use. For best results, strip on a smooth surface, drawing the tool towards you along the material's edge. This set includes: 1x stripper tool, 1x hobby blade.
