I have a custom wood 3 tier/ bed bunk from CollegeBedLofts.com. Ours doesn’t have the trundle. That came into play after we ordered because they hadn’t heard of the need of a third bunk. Ours is taller to accommodate a third bunk but still fits a 8’ room with ease. It was used for about a year when we had custody of our nieces. The ladder ends are still together but the rest of the pieces will need to be assembled with wood screws. Everything is marked for easy assembly. It can be painted. I personally sanded all surfaces to remove any rough areas. It can be assembled by one person but a lot quicker by two. The two bottom bunks aren’t necessary to have a stable bunk. We paid just under $900 because of the custom third bed but are willing to take $575 picked up and $600 if asked to deliver it in the metro Atlanta area. We are in Douglasville, Ga Going to a shelter by next week
