Deloro Alloys, primarily nickel-based, incorporate Cr, C, B, Fe, and Si. They span a broad hardness range, from soft, malleable build-up alloys to extremely hard, wear-resistant ones. High hardness results from a complex microstructure featuring Ni-solid solution, Ni3B, Cr5B3, Cr2B, CrB hard phases, and various Cr carbides. They're suitable for hardness levels between 15 and 60 HRC or higher, depending on use. Si and B make these alloys self-fluxing, and their low melting point makes powders ideal for spray/fuse or powder and rod/wire welding. They retain properties up to around 315C (600F) and offer good oxidation resistance.
