Mayco Foundations Series FN-024 Gray Opaque Gloss Glaze produces a beautiful, smooth, high-gloss gray finish at Cone 06; it lightens slightly at Cone 6. Apply 2-3 coats to Cone 04 bisque, allowing glaze to dry between coats, then fire to Cone 06/05 or higher. Alternatively, apply 2-3 coats to wet/unfired or leather-hard clay, leaving an area like the back or bottom unglazed to allow for outgassing during firing, then fire to Cone 04 when clay is bone dry.
