This Mechanical Box is shipped in KIT form (You assemble it). There are about 60 parts in the kit including gears, shafts, lock nuts all precision laser cut from wood. The 6 sides of the box are cut from high grade .25 inch thick birch plywood. The gears are all cut from solid cherry .25 inches thick.
The box (when assembled) is 9.25 inches wide, 7.125 inches deep and 7.25 inches tall. (other box kits on Etsy are tiny by comparison)
Unlike other wooden kits on Etsy, I have designed and tested this box to be as easy to assemble as possible. I have given kits to many friends and incorporated there suggestions to make the instructions clearer and the kit easier to assemble where possible .
