Following the release of Flitetest's Mighty Mini Corsair and Mustang, I was eager to construct one myself. However, having recently acquired a UMX Micro Corsair for indoor use and with numerous Mustangs already available, I felt that the other side of the warbird spectrum was underrepresented and in need of attention. Thus, I decided to build a Zero that could be interchanged with the Mighty Mini Power pods. It was a tough decision between the Zero, Fw-190, and Ilyushin-2, but I wanted a model that was combat-capable, similar in size to other mighty Minis, and compatible with the same electronics.
