To make these beautiful rugs, we create handsome assortments of select pieces of vintage hand-knotted Turkish rugs that we collect all across Turkey. These rugs are first deep-washed, then their pile is sheared to create a distressed look, after which they are over-dyed in a variety of beautiful colors. Our skilled craftspeople cut these washed, distressed and over-dyed rugs into pieces, mix and match them in all sorts of playful, colorful and exciting ways and stitch them together by hand to make the most durable and aesthetically pleasing floor coverings that you can use in your interiors for years. There is also a very sturdy, dark-colored cotton twill sewn on the reverse side of these rugs for extra thickness and protection
