Offered in flat-bar and drop-bar setups, it's designed for disc brakes and shares a single-position vertical dropout with the Surly Bridge Club. Ideal for both new weekend riders and seasoned commuters, the Preamble makes it easy to switch from cars to the comfort of Chromoly steel. It boasts a 100% Surly Chromoly steel frame and fork with a double-butted main triangle, available in five sizes to fit most riders, with a sloped top tube on smaller frames for better standover height and comfort. Compatible with 1x and 2x drivetrains, it includes mounts for racks, fenders, and two bottle cages. Tire clearance varies by frame size, accommodating 650b x 41mm tires on smaller frames and 700c x 41mm tires on larger frames, with or without fenders.
