This set includes one PT-76 Light Tank, equipped with a .50cal AAMG for Vietnam and another for Arab-Israeli conflicts. Initially designed as an amphibious reconnaissance vehicle, the PT-76 entered service in the early 1950s and became a Soviet standard. Widely exported, it served in various nations' armies, including Egypt and the United Arab Republic. Soviet doctrine called for rapid, uninterrupted advances, with reconnaissance units moving forward until engaged. This strategy was adopted by the United Arab Republic. In the worst-case scenario, the destruction of the scout company would alert following troops to strong defensive positions. These companies combine tanks for firepower and infantry in light BTR-50PK transporters to lead advances. Miniatures are supplied unpainted and may require assembly.
