This gear position sensor is designed for use with our sequential shifters, employing a modern hall effect sensor that requires a 5V supply. It outputs a voltage between 0-5V, corresponding to the magnet's position within the shifter. The magnet is pre-installed. To read the sensor's position, use a multimeter's voltage setting with a 5V supply connected. Wiring colors are: White/Blue or Green (Ground), White/Yellow or Orange (5V supply), and White/White (Signal out). Exceeding 5.5V or incorrect wiring can damage the sensor. For use with a digital dash, also connect to the reverse switch, as 1st and reverse share the same position. Note: These sensors are not compatible with gear indicators sold before July 2022, and we can no longer supply the earlier version due to chip shortages.
