Small Standard Mailbox - Slate Gray

Here are the mailboxes that started it all! These not-so-standard mailboxes can be distinguished from our other mailboxes because they only have a lockable bottom door with an open incoming mail slot above. These mailboxes can be ordered as a "Single Service" mailbox, or you can add outgoing mail capability. When the outgoing mail option is added (which includes a flag), mail is placed on a shelf between the locked door and the incoming slot. To get a better idea of how this works, take a look at our diagrams below. The differences between the standard large and small mailboxes include mail storage capacity (+2 inches high +2 inches wide +2 inches deep) and post size (4 x 4 inch steel post for standard small/5 x 5 inch steel post for standard large). An indicator and output capacity can be added to both mailboxes for an additional cost. Both standard mailboxes are made from the same 1/4" steel casing with 3/16" reinforced doors, as is true of all our mailboxes. The images below accurately represent what we are currently manufacturing and what you can expect to receive. Features include a continuous 2" welded steel hinge, all hand-welded construction, a 7-pin tubular lock (upgradeable), high-performance powder coating inside and out, special colors available, free 1-1/2" address numbers for the front door, an average of one week's mail storage, and pre-drilled holes for our steel posts.
