- EASY TO USE: Position the Leaf Spring Unloading/Compressing Tool over the spring pack, and tighten down the compression bolt to safely unscrew the center pin nut, and remove the leaf pack center pin. After removing the center pin, loosen the compression bolt until the springs decompress, allowing you to safely add the new add-a-leaf in the appropriate location. Reinstall the leaf pack by tightening the compression bolt and reinstalling the center pin.
